40 Years Of Kirkor Architects And Planners
Kirkor Architects and Planners are excited to be celebrating our 40th Anniversary. Started in 1981 as Kirshenblatt Korman Architects with a handful of staff, we have grown into a studio of 150 architectural and design professionals with offices in Toronto and Calgary. From our roots in community-based housing and in the early days of condominium development in Toronto, Kirkor is recognized as one of Canada’s pre-eminent development architecture firms with world-class expertise in large-site development and master-planning, development and planning negotiations, tall-building and mid-rise architecture, all with a dedicated focus on complex mixed-use, residential primary building programmes. Our firm has garnered countless achievements and accomplishments with the support of our excellent team and extraordinary clients.
We are grateful to our clients who trusted in us to provide them with excellence in service and outstanding building design. Their demands, challenges and feedback have pushed us to continuously improve. Your success is our success and we will continue to grow, evolve, forge and lead. With the continued support of our staff and our clients, we will explore new heights in design excellence, not only in this coming year, but for years to come.

Covid-19 Studio Update
The Partnership firmly believes that the return to normal will take time and they are committed to monitoring Public Health advice and Government regulations over the return and safety of all employees. Working remotely will not be a long term solution for our firm as our project collaboration efforts are best accomplished when we are together in-person. Kirkor has started implementing a gradual return to work process starting with our senior staff members and rotating weekly returns/ continued work from home with the remainder of our staff. We continue to follow all safety measures and practices. Our studio in Calgary follows the same protocols as our studio in Toronto and we firmly believe that if we all follow our provincial restrictions and encourage vaccinations amongst our staff, we will have a full return to both studios in the new year. While the virus is still a significant threat to the health and safety of everyone, we are committed to keeping our staff and clients safe by continuing to enforce our protocols. We appreciate that the past 18 months + has posed many challenges and we continue to support our studio team.
