All Aboard! ⚓🚢

On August 5th, KIRKOR took members of our staff on a boat cruise overlooking the beautiful city of Toronto. Not only did we admire the stunning and tranquil surroundings but the influence KIRKOR has had over many years on the city’s skyline. We enjoyed great food and drinks but most importantly the company of our peers in a social gathering after a very long time away from each other. As we mingled and danced the night away we realized more than ever the importance of our team being together. Cheers to a wonderful and eventful night and many more to come!

Can we hear a YAHOOOOOO?!

KIRKOR's Calgary studio took it to the Rodeo. For most, it was the very first time witnessing the over 100 years old western tradition of the Calgary Stampede!

They say know thy place so you can build with passion and knowledge. So we went, belt buckles 'n all, to have a taste of that experience. And on that Tuesday, July 12, under the scorching sun and much dust in the air, we got our fill of Yahoos, excitement and a good sense of what the western milieu is about.

The Waterclub is a three-tower complex at Queens Quay developed by Kolter Property Company. The characteristic of these residential premises is a sun-filled outdoor pool and deck, easy access to Toronto’s harbour and its many entertainment and lifestyle activities. So thinking about summer in Toronto is thinking about waterside properties and the exclusive lifestyle they provide. Some of those thoughts are bookmarked by the architecture we were part of developing.

Are you dreaming of boats and boat-like structures on these sunny days?

We, too, were taken by the shimmer of the hot sunny day and ideas streaming from the lake's shoreline and were inspired to create a type of design that sails into a periphery.

ARC represented a rare and unique opportunity to design a high-density sustainable mix-use building on a challenging site while providing maximum benefits to the city. As a result, our ARC rises as another identifiable iconic building with a comfortable urban pedestrian edge that is a prominent weave in the fabric of its neighborhood.
