Kirkor is looking for a unique Architectural Technologist interested and knowledgeable in BIM and IT systems. This position will utilize both of these experiences and is also expected to understand of building code to develop technical project details and construction assembly standards. Your responsibility will be to output high-quality production for our standard technical library for all projects. A high-level of knowledge and experience with Autodesk Revit and Microsoft programs is necessary for this post, along with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. Your inquisitive nature to see through the line will be an asset to help support our Director of Knowledge Resource Management.
This opportunity will also serve the Calgary office through BIM support and IT assistance. In supporting BIM the successful candidate should demonstrate an enthusiasm for BIM including 3D modeling and 2D drafting to assist with setting up or supporting standard for all project model. Your knowledge of software related to BIM technology such as BIM360, Dynamo, Lumion, Revizto, Ideate, Adobe suites, or Hive will be an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication, is necessary to relay technical issues and liaise between project teams and the technical Directors. In supporting the IT head office your role will include responsibilities such as properly connecting workstations, connectivity issues for LAN and Wi-Fi, or relocating users or equipment setup for new staff. Your position will have you work closely with the IT team to collaborate on any issues and help communicate back resolutions and troubleshooting and will be responsible for updating inventory management and equipment lists for the studio.
• Graduate of a recognized Architectural Technology diploma program.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and some decision making skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal needed.
• High level of skill with Autodesk REVIT required.
• Working knowledge and experience with the Building Code.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Experience with Adobe suites, Photoshop, and Bluebeam is a definite asset.
• Knowledge of BIM360, Lumion, Revizto, Dynamo, Ideate, or Hive is an asset.
• Understanding of computers components, connections, settings or configurations.
