Congratulations to Tara Kunst for being appointed to the The Alberta Association of Architects Council for 2023/24. Tara, a Registered Architect at our Calgary studio, is keenly interested in helping shape communities. Having been on the Hillhurst and Sunnyside Calgary Planning Committee for many years, she is equally passionate about furthering architectural practice, especially mobilizing young architects into rewarding and flourishing careers.

@bildgta is the largest home builders’ association in Canada, known for hosting the #BILDAwards since 1980 and recognizing excellence and innovation from all corners of the industry. We eagerly await the rest of this year’s winners to be revealed at the Gala tonight.

We are grateful to have been honoured many times before, and to be nominated again is a credit to our continual effort in exploring how we can be of service to the public realm and creating meaningful additions to communities.

Aqualuna, the fourth and final phase of the Bayside series, is drawing attention to Toronto’s eastside waterfront and our anticipation grows with the City’s as we see its progression.

Aqualuna is our second significant landmark development with 3XN following Aquabella - both unique opportunities to align our expertise of the DRP and approvals with skills of international design architects of this caliber.

We adopted a shared 3D model to enable an optimized workflow with the Copenhagen-based firm – a successful collaboration evident as the modular balconies have taken shape.

The title of ‘Architect’ encompasses a myriad of roles and to stay on the leading edge in this industry, individuals must embody that of a lifelong learner, a student for life, a humble professional dedicated to mentorship to and from their peers.

With this mentality, KIRKOR has reached over 40 years of practice and the honour of engaging with renowned institutions like @raic_irac.

As of last year, founding Partner, Architect and Urban Planner, Clifford Korman was officially elected to Fellowship in the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada – true homage to those deserving of recognition for their pursuit of excellence. Last week, this new milestone came full circle as he participated in the 2023 Conference in Calgary, presenting a live session with our Principal, Keesa Hutchinson and at last, walking the stage at the Fellows Convocation Ceremony. Congratulations!

Everyone benefits when creativity creates communit

Everyone benefits when creativity creates community - including Canada’s forests.

Over 12,000 trees will be planted after leaders of the architecture, engineering and construction industry rocked out at #EcoJam2023 to fundraise for Forest Recovery Canada, a division of Forests Ontario.

Jozef, vocalist, guitarist, and KIRKOR's Architectural & Interior Designer (far left), banded with other musicians from EllisDon, Montgomery Sisam Architects and JLL to perform as Unmute! Living up to the punctuation mark, they took the stage on April 20th to show off their musical stylings for Earth week.
