The Universal City master plan is a spectacular development in proximity to Pickering’s downtown heart. Nearby the 401 corridor and within minutes’ walk to the GO Station, Universal City is a prime example of a complete community.

Composed of 7 phases, each with a tower, this master plan has a wide variety of suite types totaling over 2800 residential units. The initial towers of UC phases 1, 2 & 3 provide sleek and elegant design with modern highlights depicting changes in program. Each includes access to a wide variety of amenities such as fitness rooms and swimming pools.

UC 4 & 5 is the crown jewel of the community, towering over 40 and 50 stories respectively, undoubtedly becoming Pickering’s newest landmark. Providing a strong dynamic façade UC 4 + 5 integrates curvilinear forms throughout the building while exhibiting cross-floor paneling at the podium.  All this includes a massive amenity oasis with views to both city and Lake Ontario. Here the heart of the community is placed by providing a sprawling public piazza at grade activated by adjacent retail.  

Finally, UC 6 & 7 are the community’s gateway towers taking architectural cues from the aforesaid phases. These towers elevate UC 4 & 5s dynamism with softer more subtle curves while demonstrating homage to UC 1 – 3s controlled orthogonal rhythm.
